Hello again, readers. I’ve got two more North American tours to share with you, one that centers around assault, and one that promises devastation.
As it turns out, neither of these tours will be visiting Pittsburgh, but coincidentally, they both DO have stops in Delaware. (If you didn’t see this post from earlier this month, you’re probably wondering why that’s significant. I’d been informed by a certain resident of that state that tours rarely bother stopping there, so it’s now kind of turned into a running joke to point out exceptions to that rule.)
Ironically, it just so happens that the same person who’d been complaining about the dearth of metal shows in his home state — a loyal blog reader/commenter who calls himself Utmu — was the one who pointed out this first tour to me!
California’s White Wizzard have been gaining a lot of attention for their old-school heavy metal sound, especially since the release of their second full-length, last year’s Flying Tigers. They’re joined by Pittsburgh-based Icarus Witch, who are also known for putting a modern twist on classic hard rock and metal. Several of these dates also include the North Carolinian power metal band Widow.

Information on this second tour comes via Clawhammer PR:
Saskatchewanite melodic death metal band Into Eternity has been around for about fifteen years now, and naturally they’ve released a handful of albums over that time, as well as having endured a fair share of line-up changes. This August, the band will be kicking off a tour of the U.S. and Canada, the first such endeavor with new drummer Bryan Newbury and additional live vocalist Amanda “The Wench” Kiernan. Joining them will also be Philadelphia’s Single Bullet Theory and Riksha from SLC.
