Sometimes you just feel like you need to get away from it all. If you feel like that either tonight or tomorrow, and you want to catch some great bands in the process, BUT you don’t want to go more than a few hours away, I’ve got just what you need right here.
Or maybe you don’t even live in Pittsburgh. I know there are people who read this blog from all over the place. So maybe you’re already in Ohio, or someplace closer to these shows than to the ones happening in Pittsburgh. In any case, here’s some info about some really cool shit.
Fistula, Vulture, Deathcrawl, Pissmongrel, Ominous Black
at The Foundry
11729 Detroit Ave, Lakewood OH
Friday 19 October 2012 | 9:00pm | $5
Tonight in Lakewood (just on the other side of the glorious paradise that is Cleveland), you can catch Fistula — which as you may or may not be aware, is fronted by Patac Records head honcho Dan Harrington. Joining them will be the Steel City Sludgesters themselves, Vulture, who (I can personally attest) put on one hell of a great show. Also appearing will be native Ohioans Deathcrawl (who are celebrating the recent release of their album Accelerated Rate of Decay) and Pissmongrel.
NOTE: Despite what the poster may say, Mockingbird will not be performing at this show, but they have been replaced by a last-minute addition, Ominous Black from Philadelphia (whose scheduled Canadian tourdates had to be cancelled due to the fact that the band is apparently made up of international criminals or something like that and they were unable to get across the border)…
