Breaking News: Faith No More Announce Tour Cancellation
Some disappointing news just emerged today for fans and for the band itself — all of whom were certainly looking forward to a return of live music after a six-year absence, which included worldwide dates throughout 2020 and early 2021, and a European tour this summer, all of which had to be canceled due to the ongoing pandemic. Finally this week Faith No More was slated to head back out on the road across America for a handful of dates through September and October, only to experience a heartbreaking setback yet again…
Melvins – Basses Loaded (Ipecac Records, 03 June 2016)
Around here, we’ve talked pretty extensively about the Melvins. Mostly because since forming in Montesano, Washington about thirty-five years ago, the band has been a highly influential part of so many of the genres we love, even having a hand in forming and shaping several of those. Also there’s the fact that, with their ever-revolving line-ups, there are approximately ninety-seven Melvins releases (on average) each year. Being so prolific, it’s likely that they’ll have some stuff kind of flying under the radar, and today we’ll be looking at an album from last year that you may have missed. And then down in the comments you can find information about all their tour dates for the rest of the summer and beyond (and if you have the opportunity to see these guys, I really could not recommend it highly enough!)

anything here for the last few months! Well, as you may have seen, I’ve started writing reviews of some new 2014 releases — and as time allows I promise I will also be sharing plenty of older stuff I’ve missed writing about, because believe me there has been a TON worth sharing!
But more on that later. As I started doing last year, I’ve once again put together a collection of various people’s “best of” lists from 2013. Admittedly I sort of got a late start on this (I didn’t even put out the open invitation until after most websites had already finished with publishing all their year-end stuff), but several people have answered the call and contributed some really interesting lists that you’ll want to check out…
